Scripts added

Four new scripts. The Art Media scripts (does anyone still use Art Media??) are essentially identical except for the tool used. You can edit the scripts to change the tool to something other than Chalk or Oil, if you wish. Brushy Stripes is similar to the other Brushy scripts except it draws pixel precise stripes using whatever tool you wish. To get alternating bands of color, run it twice with different offsets.

Art Media - Convert Layer to Chalk - This script creates a full color Art Media layer from the contents of the current layer (i.e. the reverse of converting an art media layer to a raster layer). It may take a long time to run on large images. The zip file contains a solid white texture (White.pspimage) that should be placed in your Textures/Art Media folder.

Art Media - Convert Layer to Oil - This script creates a full color Art Media layer from the contents of the current layer (i.e. the reverse of converting an art media layer to a raster layer). It may take a long time to run on large images. The zip file contains a solid white texture (White.pspimage) that should be placed in your Textures/Art Media folder.

Brushy Stripes - This script paints stripes inside an optional selection using a variety of 'brushes'. Select the tool. Select the layer. Run the script. Answer the prompts on stripe size and placement.

Preset Script Generator - This script generates a new script based on the current tool and the current settings. Running the generated script will switch to the saved tool and settings, just as if you had selected the tool by hand and then selected a particular tool preset. Place this script in your Scripts-Trusted folder. It must be trusted in order to create the new script files. Select the tool and the settings you wish. Run the script and specify the name of the generated script.

That's it for now. I'm on the road next week so the next installment will be somewhat delayed.

The lights are on

Pixelnook is up and mostly there with the usual sorts of construction dust and debris lying around. Some links in the sidebar are "ComingSoon" and will be added shortly. Google is currently being used for searches so it's not going to be too useful until they index the site. Etc. Pardon the dust!

Three previously unpublished resources have been added without about 30 or so to follow as time permits. Recently added:

GoldenRectangles - Two preset shapes in the form of Golden Rectangles. Place in your Preset Shapes folder. Select a golden rectangle shape from the Preset Shapes preset list. Hold down the shift key while dragging the preset shape tool to maintain the proper aspect ratio.

Ribbon2sided - This script creates a two sided ribbon tube. When you drag the tube tool to the right, you see one side of the ribbon. When you drag it to the left, you see the other side. Start by creating an image with two layers. Fill the top layer with the pattern for front of the ribbon. Fill the bottom layer with the pattern for the back of the ribbon. Select the top layer and run the script. It will produce a tube called "Ribbon 2 sided".

VectorStroke - A script that strokes the edges of vector objects with any tool you desire (paint brush, tube, eraser, warp brush, art brushes, etc.). Select the tool. Select the vector object. Select the layer to operate on. Run the script.

I'll be supplying example pages for new resources as time permits. Enjoy!

Welcome

Welcome to the Pixelnook blog. I am in the process of moving Pixelnook to its new home at http://pixelnook.vapho.com/. This blog will serve for news and such. Check back here periodically or subscribe to find out what's new. I will be moving all of the old scripts and PSP resources as well as adding a number of previously unpublished scripts. Oh, "What's a vapho?" you ask? All in good time. :)
